The Golden Ratio was the theme for this week’s Fifty Two Frames album.  I knew from the start that I was going to end up using flowers for this shot.  I took some shots of a sunflower and a daisy before finally deciding on the former. It took me a while to set up the shot according to the Golden Ratio and, to be perfectly honest, I’m *still* not sure that I really got it.  Nonetheless, between the framing of the shot and the fact that sunflowers follow the Fibonacci sequence (which is the basis of the Golden Ratio), I figured I was safe about meeting the requirements of the theme.

Apparently, this shot went over very well, as it was chosen as #3 for the album.  This is my third #3 finish (aside from the one #2 finish).  Now to try (dare I dream?) for the cover shot.

As always, comments, critiques and criticisms are welcome, encouraged and appreciated.

In mathematics , two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. The figure on the right illustrates the geometric relationship. Expressed algebraically, for quantities
