Fort Tryon Park

Fort Tryon Park

Fort Tryon Park is one of the larger parks in New York City.  It is located on the northwestern side of Manhattan, straddling the Hudson River just north of the George Washington Bridge.

The park happens to be a great place for photography.  It’s blessed with a great view of the George Washington Bridge, a commanding view of the Hudson River and the Palisades, beautiful flower gardens and the grounds of The Cloisters.  I made my third trip to the park two weeks ago, leading a group of fellow photographers around the park.

Here are some of the shots that I took there.

If you’re in Manhattan and you are looking for an alternative to Central Park, you can’t do wrong by going to Fort Tryon.
